About Us Who we are

AfroHTA is a network of academic institutions, public national HTA agencies, research institutes, ministries of health, and regional policy making bodies.

The AfroHTA network secretariat is coordinated by the (Health Economics Research Unit) of the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust. Network activities are co-produced by its members and will dynamically evolve over time. These activities are derived from and linked to the network objectives and shall be calibrated to evolution and maturity of HTA institutionalization in the region.

AfroHTA has developed a short course curriculum for HTA. This course targets both potential doers (e.g. academics) and users (e.g. policy makers and implementors) of HTA and seeks to their develop their awareness, buy-in, and capacity to implement and use HTA in their setting.
